Ibn al-Athir (630H)
Al-Kāmil fi at-Tārikh is the cornerstone of the history books, as its author has stated: "I compile in this book of mine that which has not been compiled in other history books, and whoever contemplates it knows that it is true."
Ibn al-Athir wrote this book by collecting data from reference books of his predecessors and adding to the events that occurred during his time. He then set their chapters and sections, and gathered events under their titles, until the book came out in its actual form, making so popular and hugely sought by Scholars who rely on it and students who do not tire of it.
